Dima K.
I am Dima K. — multidisciplinary artist, master artisan, and interior designer — rooted in Turkish and Arabic traditions, yet shaped by the rhythm and openness of the American East Coast.
My world has always been filled with pattern and poetry: the curve of calligraphy, the geometry of tiles, the quiet symbolism of ornament. These forms taught me that beauty isn’t decoration — it’s language.
Art, for me, is how memory transforms into movement. I work across media — painting, sculpture, mixed-media, and beyond — letting heritage and intuition meet. A line becomes emotion; a motif becomes memory. In every piece, I search for that balance between structure and surrender — where the old world breathes through the new.
As a designer, I extend that same philosophy into interiors — creating spaces that don’t just please the eye, but stir the soul.
Each work is a bridge — between cultures, between times, between who we were and what we’re becoming
The name ArtiShoq® comes from the Arabic Ardishoki — the root of “artichoke.”
A Mediterranean thistle, layered and guarded, yet holding at its center a tender, hidden heart.
That metaphor defines everything I create.
To reach the heart, you must peel away the layers — of time, of expectation, of fear — until what remains is honest and alive.
ArtiShoq® was born from that idea: to uncover beauty within complexity, to reveal emotion through form.
It’s a union of heritage and reinvention — of my roots in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean artistry and the contemporary pulse of the East Coast.
It’s also a partnership — a family vision shared with my husband, where creativity and craft come together to reimagine the familiar.
Two expressions carry our name:
ArtiShoq-artpiece™ — one-of-a-kind artworks in any medium, where color, calligraphy, and ornament merge in layered abstraction, echoing the stories of the past through a modern gaze.
ArtiShoq-Revive™ — reimagined, upcycled furniture pieces that breathe new life into classic forms, transforming design into living art.
Each creation is an act of peeling back — revealing what’s hidden, restoring what’s forgotten, and rediscovering what’s true.
ArtiShoq® is where tradition finds its voice again.
Where art reveals its heart.
